Poljica is a small tourist settlement located by on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, approximately 40 kilometers north from the town of Split and 14 kilometers from the historic town of Trogir. Poljica is located in the picturesque coastal region, just 2.5 kilometers from the village of Marina. Unlike Marina, Poljica is a new settlement, built only recently as a holiday resort, consisting mainly of private houses which offer accommodation in self-catering apartments.
Poljica stretches along the coast with very nice pebble beaches and restaurants. There is possibility of renting boats and exploring this beautiful region. The vicinity of the towns of Trogir and Split make this perfect destination for those that would like to explore the historical and cultural heritage and also spend lazy days on nice beaches in front of their holiday accommodation. Accommodation is mainly available in private houses and pensions that offer apartments to rent of very good standard for a reasonable price. Hosts are very welcoming and hospitable, and have long tradition in tourism –almost all speak English language, and some Italian and German. Beaches are clean and well maintained, and it is possible to rent umbrellas and chairs and among the beaches there is a nice walking trail and some beaches have natural shade and showers. Poljica is truly a holiday resort, with not very much to offer, except for basics – quality accommodation, beautiful and well maintained beaches, crystal blue sea some sport activities and places for snack and refreshment.
